Silver-Hawk Second is a Silver-Hawk model created with technology from planet Olga. It is featured in Darius II and reappears in Dariusburst: Another Chronicle EX and Dariusburst Chronicle Saviours. When playing as Tiat Young on Darius II for the Mega Drive/Genesis and Master System this ship starts with one power-up of each weapon.
In Another Chronicle EX and Chronicle Saviours, this ship's Shot firepower has been boosted to compensate for the lack of a Burst Engine system. Since a separate power-up in Darius II originally provided the green, terrain-penetrating Lasers that served as a Wave-type Shot, the red power-ups now upgrade the forward fire until it reaches peak strength at a full Laser Shot meter. Once at zero on the Wave Shots, the penetrating green Lasers appear in a vertical direction, and subsequent red power-ups change their directions plus add them together until all eight are present with the full Wave meter. To maximize damage on bosses, the player must point-blank, just like with Origin. Unlike its Darian predecessor, however, there is hardly any difficulty in pressing attacks and inflicting damage with Second, except when dealing with some specific instances of crowd control on large waves of certain enemies. Surrounding the energy balls are Missile-type Shots that help against different enemies' Missile shots and many bosses' firing patterns. Due to the sheer power of the forward fire and the coverage of the penetrating Lasers that come out from around the ship, this is potentially the single most powerful Silver Hawk in the game without a Burst Engine.
The description text in English taken directly from Dariusburst Chronicle Saviours in AC Mode reads as follows: "Call sign 'Second'. This Silver Hawk has been reinforced with technology from the planet Olga. While it cannot fire a Burst Beam, it possesses a stronger Shot and a terrain-penetrating Laser."
