Little Stripes (Japanese: リトルストライプ, Hepburn: Ritorusutoraipu?) [Japanese name: rustling pattern] is one of the final bosses from Darius II. It is shaped after a Freshwater Angelfish (Pterophyllum scalare).

A battleship built using a tropical fish as its motif. It can fire a powerful energy wave which was a weapon used by the original Silver Hawks, and boasts a vast attack range.

Appearance[]

Darius II[]

Little Stripes it has the form of a robotic angelfish. Its body is mainly orange with metallic gray plating, giving it a mechanical look. It has a streamlined shape with long fins and a segmented design, making it resemble both a machine and a marine creature.

Super Darius/Darius Plus/Darius Alpha[]

In Super Darius, Darius Plus, and Darius Alpha, Little Stripes appears as a robotic fish with a sleek orange body reinforced by silver metallic parts. Its long fins extend outward in a striped pattern, and its overall form combines the look of a machine with the shape of an angelfish.

Super Darius II[]

In Super Darius II, Little Stripes looks like a robotic angelfish with a bright orange body and silver armor. Its fins are long and patterned with stripes, giving it a mechanical yet elegant appearance.

Gameplay[]

Darius II[]

Little Stripes only has one attack, where it shoots large energy waves. Once its fins are destroyed, it will get more aggressive and shoot smaller energy waves more constantly. However, this boss can be easily defeated by simply attacking it from behind.

Super Darius[]

Little Stripes has a different attacking pattern in this game, which is basically Fatty Glutton's pattern but toned down, as it releases small angelfish drones which detonate in a three-bullet arc.

Super Darius II[]

Appearing as the captain of Zone E, Little Stripes initially attacks by shooting a three bullet spread and firing homing missiles. Once its fins are destroyed it will use the energy wave attack.
