Insane Stare (Japanese: インセインステア, Hepburn: Inseinsutea?) [Japanese name: Eye of madness] is a boss from Dariusburst: Another Chronicle EX. It is shaped after a barreleye fish (Macropinna microstoma).

A flagship similar in shape to Barreleye. It is a derivative of the Brightly Stare flagship. The fin shape has been changed from the Brightly Stare type flagship. In addition to a subspace dive mode characteristic of the Stare type and a foam-type diffusion bullet, an electric shock laser and the like are added. The jaw and the dome-like mechanism seem to be active radars, but details are unknown.
